CRT
This Privacy Policy explains how Shuffu Inc., the operator of the CRT mobile application and related services (“CRT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App. By using CRT you agree to this Policy. This Policy is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service.
Account information you provide. When you create an account we collect your email address, first and last name, username, date of birth, and (if you choose to add one) a profile photo. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile details from that provider. Certain actions require phone verification, in which case we collect and store your phone number.
Location information. With your permission, we use your device’s precise location to show nearby courts, sort and filter results by distance, and verify that you are physically at a court when you check in. Precise geolocation may be treated as “sensitive” information under some laws. We use it only for the features described here; we do not use it to track you across other apps, and we do not sell it. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings; some features (such as proximity check-in) will not work without it.
Content you create. We store the courts, reviews, ratings, photos, tags, check-ins, and other content you submit, along with your account identifier so the content can be attributed to you and moderated.
Social information. We store your friends, friend requests, referrals, points, achievements, and activity so the social and gamification features work.
Device and diagnostic information. We collect a push-notification token to deliver notifications, and crash and error diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics) to keep the App stable. This may include device model, operating-system version, and app version. We may also collect limited, aggregated usage information to understand and improve how features are used.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your information to perform our contract with you (to provide the App), based on your consent (for example, location access and notifications, which you can withdraw at any time), to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the App and preventing abuse.
With other users. Your username, profile photo, tier, points, achievements, and activity (such as check-ins and content you post) may be visible to other users, including your friends and on leaderboards. Reviews, photos, and courts you submit are publicly visible.
With service providers. We use the following providers to run the App, and information is processed by them on our behalf:
We may also disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or as required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The current version of the App does not display ads or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated personal data (including check-ins, notifications, blocked-user lists, rewards, and points history) and signs you out permanently. Some content you contributed to the community (such as courts) and records we are required to keep for safety, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons may be retained or anonymized. Backups are purged on a rolling basis.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — such as to access, correct, delete, or port your information, to opt out of sale/sharing (we do neither), or to limit use of sensitive information — under laws like the GDPR, UK GDPR, or U.S. state privacy laws (including the CCPA/CPRA in California). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity. EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.
The App does not currently serve third-party advertising and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. If this changes, we will update this Policy and, on Apple devices, request your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before any such tracking.
We operate in the United States, and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. If you use the App from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data- protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
CRT is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable measures, including authentication, server-side access rules, and encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at support@crtsports.com, or by mail at Shuffu Inc., 9076 Dowden Rd #02107, Orlando, FL 32827.
